Puzzle
Tidefold Lanterns
★★★★★ 4.6
Tidefold Lanterns looks calm and mostly is, until around level thirty when the water starts moving faster than your brain. You slide lantern tiles to keep a path lit while the tide creeps in, and the tension comes entirely from timing rather than reflexes.
What sold me is how it never explains too much. New mechanics just appear and you figure them out by messing up once. That trust in the player is rare in mobile puzzles, where usually a hand pops up to point at everything.
It's short, maybe four hours if you don't rush, and it knows when to stop. No fake extension, no daily login nag. Just a small, complete thing.
